HOUSEHOLD CHEMICAL COLLECTION EVENT
SATURDAY, APRIL 24 8 A.M. - 3 P.M.
For a safe alternative to throwing away your leftover chemicals, bring them to the Chemical Recycling Event. Located on the South parking lot near Buffalo Wild Wings.
This event is FREE to residents of St. Louis County.
*Materials from businesses and from commercial, not-for-profit, and governmental organizations are prohibited.
ACCEPTABLE MATERIALS:
Paints, stains, varnishes, pesticides, herbicides, poisons, gasoline and other fuels, solvents and strippers, aerosols, motor oil and filters, gas cylinders (BBQ pit size or smaller), fluorescent tubes, rechargeable batteries, antifreeze, brake and transmission fluid, pool chemicals and other acids and bases, car batteries, wood preservatives, driveway sealant, and items containing mercury (such as thermometers, thermostats, and mercuric salts).
UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS:
Explosives and ammunition, radioactive waste, smoke detectors, medical waste, household trash, tires, electronics and other bulky items. Materials from businesses and from commercial, not-for-profit, and governmental organizations are prohibited.
SHARE A PAIR - ACCEPTING SHOE DONATIONS

It's a Shoe-In!
Time for a new pair of shoes? Make room in your closet by bringing your old shoes to South County Center - and help support a great cause!
From March 15th through March 31st, South County Center will be hosting a traveling shoe mobile, collecting gently used shoes for the “Share A Pair” program to benefit MERS Goodwill!
Share A Pair is sponsored by GO! St. Louis, our city’s largest health and fitness non-profit organization. If a new pair of running shoes is in YOUR future, you are invited to participate in the GO! St. Louis Family Fitness Weekend on April 10th and 11th in downtown St. Louis. Events include the St. Louis Marathon, a 5-K Walk/Run, a Mature Mile for seniors and much more.
